Those who have visited Fayetteville knows that the area offers a wealth of attractions and things to do, truly a destination. Our city is a clean southern city were it's citizens and The Chief Motel takes great pride. We are always excited to show our hotel guest what we have to offer and the best of all we are within minutes of all of it.
The Walton Art Center
Walton Arts Center is truly a unique facility. The diversity of programming, the scale of touring productions and the variety of arts opportunities are unparalleled anywhere in the state. Perhaps the most unique aspect of Walton Arts Center is the way that it was built. Through an unusual partnership between public and private sectors, negotiations, compromise and a shared vision yielded a facility that has changed and enriched the cultural life of Northwest Arkansas.
The Clinton Museum
While in the area you need to take time and visit the Clinton Museum. The Museum is in his first house were he was married and 17 years later would become a US President. Well worth the time.
Arkansas Air Museum
Follow the colorful history of aviation in Arkansas through numerous displays of original artifacts and aviation memorabilia! From world-famous racing planes of the 1920s and 1930s to an early airliner, the historic aircraft in the Arkansas Air Museum are unusual among museum exhibits, because many of them still fly. Static displays at the museum range from the golden age of aviation to the jet age, including Vietnam-era Army helicopters and a Navy carrier fighter.
The view from East Mountain out over the valley where Fayetteville now sprawls is impressive. On a clear autumn day, you can see the courthouse, old Washington County Jail, all 15 stories of the Raddison Hotel, and just a glimpse of one of Old Main's towers. Imagine how surprised the Confederate dead would be if they could sit up from their bare wooden boxes and look out over the land they fought to keep.
A hideaway above the city, Mount Sequoyah offers a pleasant and unique change from hotels or convention centers. The campus offers a place of solitude and numerous meeting and lodging locations while convenient to cultural venues, world class art, sporting events, shopping and eateries.
